Error: "Getbases.exe returned an error code: Connection to source cannot be established" when downloading antivirus pattern files

    Issue

     

    Scheduled Antivirus Update downloads fail with the following error:

    "Getbases.exe returned an error code: Connection to source cannot be established."

     

    Resolution

     

    1. Check Proxy settings in the Download Updates tool.

    2. Change the login user for the LANDESK Scheduler service on the core server to a different domain administrator account and restart the service.
