    How to create a custom report or a report based on an existing query

     

    Resolution

    -Go to TOOLS > REPORTING / MONITORING > REPORTS

    -Right-Click on All Custom Reports and choose New Custom Report

    -Give your report a Title and click on NEW in the Query section

    -From the left side pane (Machine Components) select the attribute to query

    -From the middle pane select the operator to affect the attribute

    -From the right pane select the value to query, which can be modified below in the Edit Values field (This step is not necessary if you query on Device Name - Exist)

    -Determine whether this will be an AND or an OR statement and select the appropriate value from the drop down box (This step is not necessary if you query on Device Name - Exist)

    -Now click Insert

    -Do this for all query attributes desired (This step is not necessary if you query on Device Name - Exist)

     

    -To select the desired columns do the following:

    -Click on Select Columns

    -In the bottom left pane select the attribute to add as a column and click the >> button

    -Do this for all desired columns

     

    -To remove any columns select the attribute/column name in the bottom right pane and click on the << button

     

    - The Alias field shows the name of the column as it will be displayed on the report; change the name to something that describes the data in the column.

     

    -Now click the Save button

    -Now click the OK button

     

    -Double-Click the report name in the right window pane under All Custom Reports

    Creating a report based on an existing query:

    Create Query.

    • Open new query

    • Select Device Name and Exists

    • Click on Select Columns

    • Select the desired columns from the left pane and add to right pane

    • Save Query and run

    Reports

    -Go to TOOLS > REPORTING / MONITORING > REPORTS

    -Right-Click on All Custom Reports and choose New Custom Report

    -Give your report a Title and click on NEW in the Query section

    • In Query filter click Select

    • Select the Query you just created

    • Save Report and run
