    Problem:

    How to change the inactivity timeout for remote control

    Remote control session keeps timing out.

    Remote control console keeps losing connection to the client.

    Solution:

    Solution1: Change the remote control settings for your desired agent configuration. Then deploy the agent changes to your clients

    Solution2: Modify the following registry values on the client computer as described below.

    32-bit clients:

    HKLM\Software\Intel\LANDesk\wuser32

    VALUE: InactivityTimeoutseconds

    TYPE: REG_DWORD

    NOTE:

    The InactivityTimoutseconds value sets the number of seconds to allow a Remote Control

    session to continue when there is no activity in the viewer window. If

    this value does not exist, the default of 600 (10 minutes) is used

    64-bit clients:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Intel\LANDesk\WUSER32

    VALUE: InactivityTimeoutMinutes

    TYPE: REG_DWORD

    Value Data is entered in hexadecimal by default:

    NOTE: You can select decimal and then enter the desired decimal amount and it will convert and show as below in the screenshot with hexadecimal(decimal).

      "a" =   10 minutes

      "b" =   11 minutes

    "1E" =   30 minutes

    "aa" =  170 minutes

    NOTE:

    The InactivityTimoutMinutes key sets the number of seconds to allow a Remote Control

    session to continue when there is no activity in the viewer window. The default setting is "a" in hexadecimal representing 10 minutes.
