Version 7

Environment: Service Desk up to and including 7.3.2

    How to:

The culture settings described below apply to Web Desk in 7.32 but do not work on Web Access 7.4. The culture setting selects which will set the regional settings that Web Desk will use.

So for example if you wished to change the date format being used from dd/mm/yy to the US date format mm/dd/yy this setting can be used to change the culture to US.

    Step by Step:

    Setting in 2008 Server

Open IIS Manager on Web Server.

Select the Web Desk virtual directory.

With 'Group by Area' selected double click on .NET Globalisation.

Then set the culture to the required value and click apply.

Then perform an IISreset on the Web Server (please ensure this is out of hours) then the setting will be applied on next login.

    Setting in 2003 Server

Open IIS Manager on Web Server

Select the Web Desk virtual directory in right click and select properties. Click on the ASP.NET tab and click on Edit Configuration.

Select the application tab and set the Culture setting to the required value.
