- (July 15, 2011) Microsoft has released KB981711. This KB fixes a "0x000000D5" Stop error in Windows 7 or in Windows Server 2008 R2. This error occurs when you run an application or transfer some data from a shared DVD disc on a Windows Server 2008 R2-based server. Please visit the following page for more details:
- Remediating this vulnerability will require additional actions. Accessing the hotfix requires you to request the patch from Microsoft. Use this URL to request the hotfix: http://support.microsoft.com/hotfix/KBHotfix.aspx?kbnum=981711&kbln=en-us Once downloaded, the patch will need to be copied to the \patch repository on the core server. Remediation can then be performed as normal.
