Error when running Data Analytics database installation

    When attempting to run Database Installation(dbsetup.exe), or during the Data Analytics install, the below error is returned:


    "Could not connect to the database or it is not the correct version.  Please make sure of the connection information and then try again.  Client found response content type of 'text/html; charset=utf-8', but expected 'text/xml'."


    A large amount of text follows the error.




    The database installation process obtains database connection information from an IIS web service, and when an error is encountered, an html error page is returned instead of the xml expected.




    1. Go into IIS Manager and check the LDAppMain application pool.  Make sure it is configured for the proper version of ASP.NET (v4.0 for 2017.3 and later). 

    2. Run "iisreset" in an elevated command prompt
