How To: Silently Deploy a Remote Console in LANDESK Management Suite 9.5

    The command to install the Remote Console silently in 9.5 is "LANDeskSoftware950\Setup.exe /s"

     

    You can find the command line switches for the setup can be found by running "LANDeskSoftware950\Setup.exe /?" (also listed below)

    Usage:

     

    Setup.exe [ /s ] [ /pause ] [ /skip ] [ product controller parameters ]

     

    /s                Run silent.

     

    pause                Pause immediately before 1st execution.

     

    pause=Name1[,"Action 2",...]    Pause before these actions. (Optional /pause="all")

     

    skip=Name1[,"Action 2",...]    Skip any action listed.

    LANDesk Management 9.5 - Parameters

     

    Product=Value            This defaults to RemoteConsole. It is required for any other

                        product. The following product values can be used: [Core |

                        RemoteConsole | Rollup]

     

    SBSUpgrade=Value        To perform a 9.0 Side-By-Side upgrade use 1 or 8.8

                        Side-By-Side upgrade use 2.

     

    InstallDir=Value        The install path. By default this is

                        %ProgramFiles%\LANDesk\ManagementSuite. Quote values with

                        spaces. Be careful with special characters as paths don't

                        support many of them.

     

    Language=Value            This can be any of the following: [ CHS | CHT | ENU | FRA |

                        DEU | JPN | KOR | PTB | ESP ]

     

    Organization=Value        Any string that represents your organization. Quote values

                        with spaces. Be careful with special characters.

     

    Certificate=Value        Any string that represents a certificate name. Quote values

                        with spaces. Be careful with special characters. A Unix

                        timestamp is appended to insure a unique key.

     

    Core=Value            The name of an existing core server.

     

    SaPassword=Value        Use this to specify the SQL Express password. Otherwise the

                        password is randomly generated.

     

    DBApplication=Value        This can be any of the following: [ MSSQL | ORACLE ]. For a

                        new core server with SQL Express, leave all database values

                        blank for SQL Express. Note: If you are upgrading a

                        non-unicode database, this value is used for both

                        connections as you cannot migrate from SQL to Oracle.

     

    DBServer=Value            The name of the database server. (MS SQL only)

     

    DBName=Value            The name of the database. (MS SQL only)

     

    DBUser=Value            The database user name.

     

    DBPassword=Value        The database user password.

     

    DBPort=Value            The database port. (Optional)

     

    DBTNSName=Value        The TNS name for the unicode database (Oracle only)

     

    DBLanguageNonUnicode=Value    The language of the database.

     

    DBServerNonUnicode=Value    The name of the database server. (MS SQL only)

     

    DBNameNonUnicode=Value    The name of the non-unicode database. (MS SQL only)

     

    DBUserNonUnicode=Value    The database user name.

     

    DBPasswordNonUnicode=Value    The database user password.

     

    DBPortNonUnicode=Value    The database port. (Optional)

                        migrating data and settings from an existing core.

     

    CoreDataMigrationUser=Value    An administrative user of an existing core server.
