How to set up the Emulation License Server

    Setting up the Emulation License Server

     

    • Install the selected license server on your computer
    • Add a license to the license server
      • Log into the license server
      • Add a License to the Server
        1. Click on 'Licenses'

        3. Fill in the correct information

        4. Click 'Add New License'

        5. You may finish adding licenses or add more licenses

        6. Your licenses will now be in the list

    Setting up License Server address within the Telnet client

    When setting up the Emulatoin License Server, complete the following steps:

    • Open the telnet configuration utility

    • Click on Emulation Parameters

    • Navigate to Emulation > Common > License Server Address
      • Set the address to be the IP address of where you installed the Emulation License Server

    • Click Save to Save your settings

    • Click 'Application & Config' OR 'Config Only' to send down the settings to the device.

    • Restart Telnet on the device.

     

    License Version and Client Version must match

    • If the Telnet client on your device is 7.3.115 then you must have valid and available 7.3 Telnet licenses on your Emulation License Server. For Example:

      Telnet 7.3.140 (above) will not work with TelnetCE 7.2 licenses (below)
