How to stop or restart the installation process

    There are some situations where you may want to stop the upgrade process.. For example, during upgrade perhaps some steps failed and you manually fixed this issue. But the LANDESK installation process does not recognize the changes you have made. So you need to re-start the upgrade again then you can try below steps.



    1. Go to this location where the installation setup.xml file exist: C:\ProgramData\LANDesk\ManagementSuite\Install\ver#\setup.xml
    2. Rename the setup.xml file to setup_old.xml
    3. Double click the setup.exe file and it will start the fresh installation.

    Additional information:

    -The setup.xml file will record the steps where the installation was stopped/failed.

    -C:\ProgramData\LANDesk\ManagementSuite\Install\Ver#\Log folder contains all the installation log.
