    Manually backing up packages.

Take the avapackages folder from the following:

    C:\Program Files\Wavelink\AvalancheMC\avapackages

And move it to the backup location, this must be done at the same time as the sql backup.

To perform a manual backup on the PostgreSQL database:

Stop the Wavelink Services(enterprise, tomcat, inforail)

    1. From the Start menu, select Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt.

    The command prompt appears.

    2. Type cd\Program Files\Wavelink\AvalancheMC\db\bin and press the Enter key.

The following prompt appears: C:\Program Files\Wavelink\AvalancheMC\db\bin>.

    3. Type: pg_dump -c -U postgres databasename > C:\backup.sql , then press the Enter key.

The information is extracted from the database and saved as backup.sql in the backup directory.

The information in the sql backup file is restored to avalanche50 database.

You then just need to replace the avapackages and restart all services.

When restoring from an actual avalanche 5.0 backup change the *.avabackup file to a .zip file to extract the sql file and the backup avapackages folder will be here, you may also see agent packages that need to be placed in the AvalancheMC\deploy folder.
