Inventory Scan Missing 32-bit Applications from Add or Remove Programs

    If you are missing applications in your Add or Remove Programs, you may be affected by a recent defect found in SP1 ( It would appear that the version of the LDIScn32.exe is not returning 32-bit Applications to the LANDesk Inventory. You'll notice that you are missing applications in Add and remove programs however you will not be missing them from your product list as pictured below:

              ComputerName > Software > Add or Remove Programs > Program


              ComputerName > Software > Product


         * Note: Please note that under Product we have Java 7, 7-zip and other applications which are 32 bit but they are not showing up under Add or Remove Programs


    To determine if you are being affected by this defect, you will need to perform the following on your client machine:


    1. Navigate to: C:\Program Files (x86)\LANDesk\LDClient
    2. Right-click LDISCN32.exe and click properties.
    3. Click details and note the Product Version.


    If the Product Version is then you are affected by this. Please be aware that this should ONLY effect new agents sent to client machines and should not cause issues with non 9.5 SP1 agents. We plan to have a patch in the near future to address this problem. This document will be updated when a fix is released.
