    Issue

     

    The deployment of a new agent doesn not successfully install the updated LANDESK Antivirus (Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10) after the removal of the previous version.

     

    The following Windows event is created:

     

    Eventid: 1013 Product Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 for Windows - Attention! Some software on your computer is incompatible with Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 for Windows. To proceed with the installation, remove these applications.

     

    Resolution

     

    In some situations the following registry key remains from the KES8 installation creating a false positive that incompatible software exists:

     

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\vsdatant

     

    Software reported as incompatible are Cisco VPN Client or Check Point VPN client driver.

     

    After removing the registry key the installation of the updated version of LANDESK Antivirus is successful.
