If you happen to be missing Permissions from your Custom Roles, or Effective Permissions on your users, you will want to check your default Permission settings. It appears that there may be situations in which your XML file that contains all of your allowed Permissions in LANDesk may be malformed or missing data. To determine if this is the case you can compare the XML attached to this document to your enuDefaultPermissions.xml file located in the following location:
InstallDrive:\Program Files (x86)\LANDesk\ManagementSuite\enuDefaultPermissions.xml
9.6 and newer.
If you notice that your XML file is missing data you can simply copy and paste the lines you are missing to your XML document and save it. Alternatively, you can also used the file attached instead. Once saved you can run CreateLANDeskRights.exe which is also located in the ManagmentSuite folder**.
**Note: As long as these two files exist in the same location in the ManagmentSuite folder, CreateLANDeskRights will use that xml file to build the rights in into LANDesk.
***Note: The file attached was taken from 9.5 SP1 version of LANDesk Managment Suite. If you are having this problem on an older version of LANDesk please contact support for assistance.
Update: Added 9.6 enuDefaultPermissions version.
