Unable to validate the current user with the database.

    Troubleshooting

    1. Enabling logging by adding a registry key to the Core Server:

      HKLM\Software\LANDesk\ManagementSuite\Core
      Type: DWORD
      Name: LogEvents
      Value: 1

    2. Try to log into the Web Console again.

    3. Look at event logs.

Note: These events appear the same as when the user is simply not in the LANDesk Management Suite group on the Core Server.

    Cause

Currently Security Group - Domain Local groups are not supported.

    Resolution

Do not use Security Group - Domain Local groups.  Add the user to the LANDesk Management Suite group on the Core Server in a supported manner, such as directly or as a member of a Security Group - Global group.

Note: An enhancement request CR00001563 has been submitted to support Security Group - Domain Local groups.
