    Description

    The account used for the LANDesk1 COM+ Application Identity is locked.  When trying to log into the web console, the following error occurs:

     

     

    Unable to validate the current user with the database.

     

    Troubleshooting

    1. Enabling logging by adding a registry key to the Core Server: HKLM\Software\LANDesk\ManagementSuite\Core Type: DWORD Name: LogEvents Value: 1
    2. Try to log into the Web Console again.
    3. Look at event logs. The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( LANDesk Abstraction Layer ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: Checking to see if Domain\User is a LANDesk Software user on LD88 based on group membership. Domain\User is not a LANDesk Software user. ERROR on 15/04/2008 09:28:16 with user Domain\User, and core LD88: GetGroupUsers() : NetGroupGetUsers function failed with error code 1909 ERROR on 15/04/2008 09:28:16 with user Domain\User, and core LD88: GetGroupUsers() : NetGroupGetUsers function failed with error code 1909 ERROR on 15/04/2008 09:28:16 with user Domain\User, and core LD88: GetGroupUsers() : NetGroupGetUsers function failed with error code 1909

     

    Cause

    The account used for the LANDesk1 COM+ Application Identity is locked.

     

    Note: Error 1909 is a standard Microsoft return code. It evaluates to ERROR_ACCOUNT_LOCKED_OUT. This means the referenced account is currently locked out and may not be logged on to. This and other Microsoft error codes can be looked up here:
