LDMS Console Error: Unable to load xml/eventing.nav

    Error message:

    Unable to load xml/eventing.nav

     

    Problem:

    When you try to edit an alerting ruleset in the LDMS Windows console, you get an error dialog with the message, "Unable to load xml/eventing.nav".

    Cause:

    The content for the alerting ruleset is being downloaded using HTTPS and Internet Explorer is configured to not save encrypted pages to disk.

     

    Solution / Workaround:

    To resolve this issue, perform the following steps on the computer that is having the issue:

    1. From the Control Panel, select Internet Options.
    2. Select the Advanced Tab, then scroll down to the Security section.
    3. Uncheck the option "Do not save encrypted pages to disk"

    Re-launch the Alert Ruleset edit window again. The problem should be resolved.
