Issue: Content Replication fails to replicate some files

    Content Replication fails to replicate some files. Most of the files being replicated are copying to the destination only a small portion of the files are affected.




    Replicator or target Preferred Server is out of space.




    Replication task will fail, replication log sent to core will indicate "Failed to download file".




    Use Windows Explorer to verify the space available on the Replicator and target Preferred Server.

    • Open Windows Explorer on the Replicator and target Preferred Server
    • Inspect available free space


    Use XTrace on lddwnld.dll to view the error being received when lddwnld is copying the file to the target destination.




    Replicator needs to have enough space to cache the files being replicated.

    • Increase available drive space.
    • Change replicator to a device with more available space.
    • Limit the number of days the Replicator will keep the files in cache.
