    How to change the Avalanche database (SQL) connection information for Avalanche6.x:

    1. Stop ALL the Wavelink Services if moving the SQL database. If Changing User stop these Wavelink services (Wavelink Enterprise, Wavelink StatsServer, Wavelink Tomcat).


    2. Perform a backup of the original database (if moving SQL Server).

    3. Restore the database to the new SQL server (If moving the SQL Server).

    4. Open location C:\Program Files\Wavelink\Avalanche\conf\"main" or "stats", modify the SQL information stored in the 3 .dao files dao-factory.xml, dao-factory-ss.xml, dao-factory-ss-es.xml, as well as the Before the modification, please make a backup of those files first.

    You can modify the dao files by searching the section key words "SQL Server"

    In each dao file the record for the hostname or IP will need to be updated to point to the new database, also ensure the databaseName is still accurate.

    5. Copy the 3 modified dao files to the locations below and replace the existing files, note the is only in the conf\main directory.

       C:\Program Files\Wavelink\Avalanche\conf\stats

       C:\Program Files\Wavelink\Avalanche\apache-tomcat-7.0.35\webapps\AvalancheWeb\WEB-INF\classes

    6. Start all wavelink services
