ConnectPro: What does I/O completion error or Connection aborted mean?

    Environment:

    ConnectPro 4.4.1

     

    Issue:

    • In the logs I see something like: I/O completion error on Client proxy1 192.168.6.235:3975: Connection aborted

     

    Resolution:

     

    I/O completion error - indicates a dropped network connection.

    Connection aborted – indicates that either the user ended the session or it timed out.

     

    Essentially, something happened to close the socket on the client-to-proxy connection. This is a notification message that the client-to-proxy connection closed. The proxy-to-host connection should still be intact so that when they reconnect, they will arrive where they left off.

     

    "Connection aborted" is either the user ended the session or it timed out. I/O completion errors indicate a dropped network connection. This may be a network error or a clean disconnect. Both actions fall outside the parameters of Connect Pro.
