Environment: Devices connected to another Server, IP to new Server has been changed in the Enabler by Network Profile and or AvaCfgCE package.

Problem: Devices keep going back to the old Avalanche Server.

Cause: The files in the Enabler folder do not have the correct IP in all the .prf’s

Solution/Workaround: Go to the file folders on the device (Program Files, Wavelink, Avalanche, Config and look through the .prf’s. The ones with the most impact would be the DEVPRO.PRF, DEVPROP.PRF.opf,LOCAL.PRF, LOCAL.PRF.opf, and the SCANCFG.PRF.

Save these files to the PC, and open with notepad. Look at the Agent Address. If the IP is the wrong server, then you will need to delete any of those files. When the device checks back into the Avalanche it will recreate those files and have the new Agent Address that the Old server was needing to change.

You can also use Package Builder to create a package that will delete these files from a Post INI script.
