Error: "There was an error while activating the core"

    Running the Core Server Activation tool, clicking on Activate, results in the error 'There was an error activating this Core'. Clicking on Licenses will show a blank screen.

    1. Run Core Server Activation as administrator. ( ...\Program Files\LANDesk\ManagementSuite\LANDesk.ManagementSuite.Licensing.ActivateCore.exe)
    2. Check available free space.


    The temp folder of the user activating the core was cleaned up (C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Temp).


    In Windows Server, the actual environment variable points to a submap of this Temp folder. Usually, this is folder 1,2 or 3.


    You can check this by running a command prompt run "set'" This will show the values for %TEMP% and %TMP%.




    Note the subfolder and recreate it. Now you should be able to activate your Core again.
