· (November 24, 2015) Microsoft has released KB3099834 to address an issue in which an "Access violation" error occurs and an application that uses private keys crashes in Windows 8.1 or Windows Server 2012 R2.
Assume that you're using certutil or you have an application that's used to enumerate or remove Trusted Platform Module (TPM)-protected private keys from computers when associated certificates are removed from the computers. This issue occurs when the keys don't exist or the user doesn't have access to the keys.
