Can't enroll or Enrollment fails on iOS / Windows / Android smart device / incorrect licensing

    • Can't enroll or Enrollment fails on iOS / Windows / Android smart device
    • My sds-server.log file states something similar to:
    2016-02-22 20:16:46,854 INFO  LicenseDirector          528  [d=,c=] - Base license request failed: Error,No licenses are available. Unable to meet request.
    • After installing the profile, the MDM profile is deleted (not the self signed certificate) and the IOS not present on inventory.


    There are few reasons why enrollment could fail

    • Improper enrollment credentials
    • Improper Licensing


    Verify  Enrollment Process and Credentials

    Verify Licensing:

    Smart Device Licenses (WL-AvalancheSD) are required to enroll iOS, Windows, and Android devices. Check to verify that you currently have added Smart Device Licenses (AvalancheSD licenses)

        • Log into Avalanche 6.1
        • Click on Tools
        • Select "Support and Licensing"
        • Click Tools - Support and Licensing.PNG
        • At the bottom of the page you will find a list of licenses that have been added to your server:

        • Under the Type column heading, do you see "Base" anywhere? If not, this may be the root of the problem.
          • NOTE even with an Enterprise License, there have been issues with enrolling smart devices without WL-AvalancheSD licenses. Please contact technical support to receive a demo license to verify whether or not licensing is causing issues with your enrollment.
