    Setup Help Parameters

     

    Usage:

     

    Setup.exe [ /update ] [ /noupdate ] [ /s ] [ /pause ] [ /skip ] [ product controller parameters ]

    LANDESK Management Suite 2016 - Parameters

     

    Feature=Value

    It is required for any feature. The following feature values can be used: [Core | RemoteConsole | Rollup]

     

    SBSUpgrade=Value

    To perform a 9.0 Side-By-Side upgrade use 1 or 8.8 Side-By-Side upgrade use 2.

     

    InstallDir=Value

    The install path. By default this is  %ProgramFiles%\LANDesk\ManagementSuite. Quote values with spaces. Be careful with special characters as paths don't support many of them.

     

    Language=Value

    This can be any of the following: [ zh-CN | zh-TW | en-US |  fr-FR | de-DE | ja-JP | ko-KR | pt-BR | es-ES ]

     

    Organization=

    Value Any string that represents your organization. Quote values with spaces. Be careful with special characters.

     

    Certificate=Value

    Any string that represents a certificate name. Quote values with spaces. Be careful with special characters. A Unix timestamp is appended to ensure a unique key.

     

    Core=Value

    The name of an existing core server.

     

    SaPassword=Value

    Use this to specify the SQL Express password. Otherwise, the password is randomly generated.

     

    DBApplication=Value

    This can only be the following: [ MSSQL ]. For a new core server with SQL Express, leave all database values blank for  SQL Express.

     

    DBServer=Value

    The name of the database server. (MS SQL only)

     

    DBName=Value

    The name of the database. (MS SQL only)

     

    DBUser=Value

    The database user name.

     

    DBPassword=Value

    The database user password.

     

    DBPort=Value

    The database port. (Optional)

     

    CoreDataMigrationCoreName=Value

    The name of an existing core server. Use this if you are migrating data and settings from an existing core.

     

    CoreDataMigrationUser=Value

    An administrative user of an existing core server.

     

    CoreDataMigrationPassword=Value

    The administrative user's password.

     

    Remote Console

    These are the minimal required parameters to install a remote console.

     

    setup.exe /s Feature=RemoteConsole

     

    Core Server - SQL Express

     

    These are the minimal required parameters to install a core server on a clean server OS.

     

    setup.exe /s Feature=Core

     

    InstallDir, Language parameters can also be used but are optional. We may implement CoreDataMigration parameters as well.

     

    setup.exe /s Feature=Core InstallDir="D:\LANDesk\ManagementSuite" Language=en-US Organization="My Org" Certificate=CertNameWithoutExtension

     

    Core Server - MS SQL

     

    These are the minimal required parameters to install a core server on a clean server OS pointing to a database on SQL Server.

     

    setup.exe /s Feature=Core DBApplication=MSSQL DBServer=Server1 DBName=MyDatabase DBUser=dbuser1 DBPassword=p@sswd!

     

    Core Server - MS SQL Side by Side

     

    These are the minimal required parameters to install a core server on a clean server OS pointing to an existing database by performing a Side-By-Side upgrade.

     

    setup.exe /s Feature=Core DBApplication=MSSQL DBServer=Server1 DBName=MyDatabase DBUser=dbuser1 DBPassword=p@sswd! SBSUpgrade=1

     

    Rollup Server - MS SQL

     

    These are the minimal required parameters to install a rollup server on a clean server OS pointing to a database on SQL Server.

     

    setup.exe /s Feature=Rollup DBApplication=MSSQL DBServer=Server1 DBName=MyDatabase DBUser=dbuser1 DBPassword=p@sswd!
