When running a report in Crystal get the following error:
The Visual Basic UFL that implements this function is missing (or U2lcom.dll is missing).
Check U2lcom.dll is present in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Crystal Decisions\2.5, if not, can you copy it there from the …\Helpdesk\HDBin32 folder on the server. The U2lcom.dll does not need to be registered.
Copy all the U2*.dll files from ...\Helpdesk\HDBIN32 on the server to C:\windows\system32 on your PC
You will need to register all the CRUFL files on the workstation you are running the report from.
The CRUFL files are located in …\Helpdesk\HDBIN32 (this is the same folder you are running Helpdesk.exe from on the workstation) and all begin with CRUFL*.
The easiest way to register them is to copy regsvr32.exe from C:\windows\system32 to the desktop, open the …\Helpdesk\HDBIN32 folder in a windows explorer window and drag all the CRFUL* files onto the Regsvr32.exe file you copied to the desktop.
A message box will appear stating the dll was registered successfully, click OK on each of these.
Once all the CRUFL files have been registered you should find that you report runs correctly.
