You initiate a HTML remote control from a computer with a French keyboard.
You want to remotely control a Mac OSX (El Capitan) client computer also in French language.
After initiating the remote control, the keyboard is QWERTY and not AZERTY, even if you select the "French keyboard" option in the Remote Control settings.
As a result, the letters are not properly mapped, which might be very disruptive.
This is a known issue that is currently being addressed by our engineering team.
A bug report has already been opened for this issue: Defect 308033
Please feel free to contact us at any time and reference the aforementioned number for an updating regarding the reported problem.
Fortunately there is a workaround in place:
Step 1: Open the system preferences on the Mac client computer
Step 2: Select the "Keyboard" option
Step 3: Add an english keyboard to the keyboard layouts
Step 4: Select the newly-added english keyboard
The letters should now mapped properly.
