Support for the Oracle Database
We continually evaluate the LANDESK IT Service Management suite – LANDESK Service Desk to provide the best solutions for our customers' needs. As we look ahead, we want to ensure that we focus our efforts on the technologies that the vast majority of our customers’ use.
Consequently, with release 2016.2 we move to supporting one database platform only, Microsoft SQL Server. In line with this focus we are announcing that the Oracle database will no longer be supported after July 6, 2016 with our next release, Service Desk 2016.2 and for all future releases.
What does this mean for you?
Service Desk customers wishing to migrate to LANDESK Service Desk on the Microsoft SQL platform can contact their local LANDESK representative to discuss and scope any migration Services requirements.
For those that remain on a previous version of Service Desk, we will continue to provide technical support for customers using the Oracle database until the relevant Service Desk version enters end of life. Please refer to the End of Life page on our website for the latest end of life dates.
