Unable to schedule a package deployment task in the Landesk web console

    You are connected to the Landesk web console.


    You would like to create a scheduled task to deploy a specific software package to some client computers.


    However when you select the package and click the "schedule" option in the Landesk web console,




    the following error code is displayed:




    Additionally, IIS logs show the following entry:

  GET /remote/SoftwareDistribution/EditScheduledTaskDialog.aspx taskId=0&nodeId=1&mainPackageId=82 80 domain\USER Mozilla/5.0+(Windows+NT+6.1;+WOW64;+Trident/7.0;+rv:11.0)+like+Gecko - 500 0 0 46





    This issue is more likely to occur after upgrading the core server or applying a component patch as it has to do with incorrect .DLL files located in the C:\inetpub\wwwroot\LANDesk\LDMS\bin folder.





    In order to fix the issue, please follow these steps:


    1) Log on to your core server and open the C:\inetpub\wwwroot\LANDesk\LDMS\bin folder


    2) Search for any of the following files:






    3) Take a backup of these files and then delete them from the folder


    4) Restart the Landesk web console


    You should now be able to successfully schedule a deployment package for the package.
