How to resolve agent installation issue for LANDesk.PolicyUpdater.exe

    Issues

     

         When we install agent on the client, we encounter below error message in WSCG32.XLG usually:

     

    Fri, 09 Sep 2016 11:31:11 FAILED:  Running application: C:\Program Files (x86)\LANDesk\LDClient\LANDesk.PolicyUpdater.exe /install

    Fri, 09 Sep 2016 11:31:11 FAILED:  bCriticalError set to TRUE. Processing C:\Program Files (x86)\LANDesk\LDClient\LANDesk.PolicyUpdater.exe

     

    Possible reason

     

    Apply adaptive settings to this configuration is checked, we need to uncheck this option:

    Resolution

    1. Uncheck Apply adaptive settings to this configuration

    2. Create one new self-contained agent

    3. On the client machine, Install this new created self-contain agent installation package

    4. Run full inventory scan on the client machine.
