All scheduled tasks, such as software distribution, patch repair tasks, etc. stay at "Pending" status, despite the tasks being started multiple times.
LANDESK scheduler service was in a stopped state
- Open Windows services, manually start the LANDesk Scheduler Service.
If you see an error "Windows could not start the LANDESK Scheduler Service service on Local Computer. Error 5: Access is denied", this normally suggests that the user you specified as the logon user for this service doesn't have local admin permissions. Add this user to the local administrators group would fix this issue.
- Make sure LANDESK scheduler service is up, and start the pending task again. You will see that the Pending task being changed to Active.
