Xtraction freezes at the "Loading Static Data" screen

    When Xtraction is loading the application it stops at the "Loading Static Data" screen and the popup "An error has occurred" appears.


    This is caused by the application pool identity not having enough access to the Xtraction installation directory, specifically Xtraction\Web\Server\bin. While much more unlikely, this error could also occur if some of the files in that folder have become corrupted, did not get updated properly during an upgrade, or have gone missing for unknown reasons.


    To correct this issue you will need to grant the application pool identity more access to the Xtraction install folder.This may be the 'Network Service' account but if it has been changed to a service account you will need to correct the permissions of the folder for that user.
