Issue: Tasks stuck at processing packages

    Issue

    • All distribution tasks fail to run on the clients.
    • Task is stuck at processing package.
    • POLICYSYNC.EXE.LOG file has the following error:

     

    WriteNewPolicies.DownLoadPolicyFile: exception-The remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized.

     

     

    Following is in the IIS log file on the Core Server:

    POST /LANDesk/Commands/Commands.svc - 80 - 127.0.0.1 - - 401 2 5 0

     

     

    Resolution

    Enable Anonymous Authentication and disable Windows Authentication on the LANDESK website in IIS Manager on the Core Server.
