A note on naming convention:
Subsequent to the merger between LANDesk and Heat Software and the formation of Ivanti Software, the LANDesk Service Desk product is re-branded and renamed to Ivanti Service Desk effective with version 2017.1.
You may still see some references to LANDesk in documentation and file paths, especially for older versions. For the immediate future, a reference to LDSD is synonymous with ISD.
When do you need to download the Service Desk license file from license portal?
If you need license file for the newer version of Service Desk or you lost your Service Desk license file, you may login Ivanti License Portal to download Service Desk license file manually by self-service.
Your organization's username and password should have been emailed to you upon completion of your service desk order. Please keep the username and password in a secure place. You may not change the password by yourself.
How to download license file?
After login license portal, please select Service Desk on the left of the page. Select the Service Desk version you are using, such as if you are using 2016.4, you may choose Service Desk 10.0.
Before clicking the download button, please check the 'Concurrent' and 'Named' quantity is correct. For more information, please refer to User Management
Note: 'Named' quantity means the same as 'Fixed' quantity,
What to do if the information on the portal is out of date?
If you find the license information in the portal is out of date, such as you have not been assigned new version of Service Desk or the quantity is not expected, please stop downloading and follow the instruction on the page to contact Licensing Team. Please attach the username of your organization in the email you sent to license team. License team may review your order and update the license information accordingly. When the information is updated in the portal, you may download the license file and upload it to Service Desk.
