Connection to the Management Centre Failing

    When attempting to connect to either the Management or Personalization Server, you may see an error similar to the following:



    This can occur when both the Management and Personalization server are configured with the same bindings within your IIS configuration.


    One scenario where this can happen is when you configure the same additional 'host header' for each of the servers within the Server Configuration Portal.


    If you open the 'Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager' application you will notice that one of your product websites is in a stopped state, and if you attempt to start it you will see the following message:



    To resolve this, you will need to ensure that the two websites use a different binding, by changing either the port number or hostname used within the "bindings" dialog within IIS Manager. Further information on how to configure this can be found here.
