Management Server Configuration Utility does not connect to Database

    Introduction

    When launching the Server Configuration Utility (SCU) for the Management Center using an account that does not have permissions to the database, you will be prompted with a login to connect to the database:

    Detail

    Once in the SCU you are unable to perform any actions to the database and you will see variances that cannot be repaired.

    If prompted to try to upgrade the database you may recieve the following error:

     

    The issue is that the SCU continues to try and use the initial account used to launch it instead of the valid Configuration account credentials provided.

    By launching the SCU with the Configuration account it will not prompt you a second time and will be able to perform actions to the database successfully.
