    Environment Manager 8.4

    A Registry Set Value action in EM Policy can be used to set the Windows OS Time format to 24 Hrs at logon using;

    Registry Key: HKCU\Control Panel\International\
    Value Name: sTimeFormat Value
    Value Type: REG_SZ
    Value Data: HH:mm:ss

    Changing just this single value causes Environment Manager Desktop Settings to also perform a Preshell refresh of the locale at logon and alter the value to hh:mm:ss

    • Setting sTime and sTimeFormat independently in the registry can result in conflicting values.
    • Setting only one value in the registry might not change the time as it appears in applications, because an application can read either sTime or sTimeFormat.
    • Setting iTime determines whether time is displayed with a 12-hour or 24-hour clock format.

    Create 3 Registry set value actions to set all 3 related values together, i.e for 24 Hr format ;

    • iTime = 1
    • sTime = :
    • sTimeFormat = HH:mm:ss
