    Introduction

    When utilizing the 'Create Shortcut' action within Environment Manager policy, you may find that the shortcut is created but that it fails to find the target when clicked:

     

    Missing Shortcut: Windows is searching for Application_with_space.exe. To lcate the file yourself, click Browse.

     

    Upon closer inspection, you may notice that spaces within the target path have been replaces with the _ (underscore) character which invalidates the target path.

    This is expected Microsoft behaviour and the target should be reachable when the shortcut is created.

    If the drive is mapped within Environment Manager, it will be possible to change the node running order to ensure that drives are mapped prior to the shortcut creation. Alternatively, and if the drives are mapped outside of Environment Manager, full UNC paths can be used to replace the target path.
