    AppSense Environment Manager 8.2

    Introduction

When you copy and paste a custom action / condition from the Environemt Manager console into notepad, the text loses the CR character.

    Detail

The line feed (LF) has ASCII code 10 (0A), and the carriage return (CR) has ASCII code 13 (0D).

UNIX systems use only the LF, while DOS systems use CRLF.

The Environment Manager Console copies the custom action / conditions content to the clipboard in LF format.

If you copy the text into Wordpad or notepad++, these text editors recognise the LF character, and add the CR character when saved to a .txt file.
