How can I change a status between 'Read Only' and 'Read Write' in a process?

Version 2

The below script is to change a status in the Process to “Read Only”.

You can also turn this around to change a status that is in "Read Only" to "Read Write"

To see if a status is "Read Only" or not, log in to Console with SA or Administrator, go to Process Designer and the relevant Process. Highlight the Status and go to Properties. You will have a greyed out setting called "Read Only" which will be set to True or False.

PLEASE NOTE that this script will change ALL statuses with the same name, doesn’t matter if they are under Incident, Article, Problem or Change, so only run this if you wish to do this to all statuses or if the status you have is a unique name.

What you need to do before running this is change the xxxxxx in the script to the name of the status which you wish to update.

Then please do an IISReset and restart Console.

For changing status to Read Only:

    --------------------------------------

    UPDATE    lc_status

    SET           lc_is_readonly = '1'

    WHERE     lc_title = 'xxxxx'

    --------------------------------------

For changing status to Read Write:

    --------------------------------------

    UPDATE    lc_status

    SET           lc_is_readonly = '0'

    WHERE     lc_title = 'xxxxx'

    --------------------------------------
