    Introduction

How to configure Performance Manager Agent logging on an endpoint where you have Performance Manager installed.

    Detail

You may want to enable Performance Manager Agent logging to help you diagnose a problem which has been encountered.

    Enable Logging:
    1. Run Regedit
    2. Browse to 'HKLM\SOFTWARE\AppSense\Performance Manager'
    3. Create a 'String Value (REG_SZ)' named 'DebugFile'
    4. Set the value to the path of the file to log out to. eg: C:\Logs\PM\PMAgent.log
    5. Restart the AppSense Performance Manager Service to pick up the changes
    Disable Logging:
    1. Run Regedit
    2. Browse to 'HKLM\SOFTWARE\AppSense\Performance Manager'
    3. Delete the 'String Value (REG_SZ)' named 'DebugFile'
    4. Restart the AppSense Performance Manager Service to pick up the changes

CAUTION: It should be noted that PMAgent.exe generates a large volume of log lines.  Either ensure that sufficient disk space is available, or that logging is only enabled for a short time period.
