During a user logoff Environment Manager logoff actions are unable to process and do not complete. No personalization sync up occurs for Session Data/Desktop Settings.

This issue affects Environment Manager 8.1 through to 8.4, which all use local group policy to launch the logoff (EmExit) process. Environment Manager 8.5 onwards only uses this method if "Enable logon sub-triggers" is disabled.

Security Templates - Local group policy processing is disabled

In an environment where local group policy is disabled on endpoints a domain based GPO will be required to run EMExit.bat as part of a domain logoff script routine.

    1. Launch GPMC.msc
    2. User Configuration > Windows Settings > Scripts (Logon/Logoff) > Logoff
    3. Click on Add to open the Edit Script dialogue box and configure the following:
    Script Name
    C:\Program Files\AppSense\Environment Manager\Agent\EmExit.bat

    Script Parameters

This policy should be applied to all endpoints with local policy disabled and Environment Manager installed to all Environment Manager to process correctly at logoff.
If a policy to Prevent access to the command prompt is configured ensure that option - Disable the command prompt script processing also? is set to no.
