    CETerm 5.7

    The Windows CE 5.0 devices force display of the SIP when focus is set to an input box in a Browser session. This behavior is similar to as seen on Windows Mobile platform devices. This feature can be disabled for the Pocket IE Browser via a checkbox on the Advanced tab of the "Internet Options" applet of the control panel.

    Enable the following checkbox setting in CETerm to disable the Browser AutoSIP:

    Session -> Configure -> Display -> Advanced -> Hide/Show -> Disable Browser Auto SIP

    For Windows Mobile OS platform devices, the SIP can be "locked" to prevent the auto-display. Enable the "Lock SIP on Hide" checkbox under Session -> Configure -> Display -> Advanced -> Hide/Show . The SIP can then be made visible by web application using a custom META tag on the page:

    <META http-equiv="SIP" content="Show">

    You can use content="Hide" to hide the SIP.

    You can also show or hide the SIP by sending CETerm corresponding IDA codes. These can be invoked inside any event handler or can be mapped to a key. Detailed discussion to on such functionlaity is in the Scripting Guide which can be downloaded from the Support -> Manuals section of our website

    var external = new ActiveXObject("Cebrowsex.IdaCtl");

    external.CETerm.PostIDA( "IDA_SIP_SHOW", 0 );

    external.CETerm.PostIDA( "IDA_SIP_HIDE", 0 );

    You can also remap any key to toggle the SIP visibility. Simply map it to the Action "SIP Toggle"
