Unable to log into the Personalization Operations console because of non-existent Master Administrator account

    Introduction

     

    In certain scenarios you may no longer have access to the Windows account which has the "Master Administrator" role within the Personalization Operations console, meaning that unless you had already added additional users, you will not be able to log into the PersOps console with the following error:

     

    Detail

     

    The 'Role Admin' tool can be used to connect to the Personalization database and re-add a user with the 'Master Administrator' role. It can be launched from the following location:

     

    "C:\Program Files\AppSense\Environment Manager\Personalization Server\Support\RoleAdmin.exe"

     

    Once opened, select "Edit > Add" and you will be able to re-add a user/group to the Master Administrator role as follows:
