A LANDesk administrator is interested in making changes to the Cloud Service Appliance as the root user.
Making any changes to the CSA via root renders the CSA unsupported, or best effort, if something goes wrong. It is recommended to backup the CSA before taking this action:
- Enter "sudo su" in the command line while connecting to the CSA via telnet.
- Enter the CSA's administrator password. Press enter.
- The list of administrator accounts can be found on the CSA. (https://your.CSA.com/gsb/users.php)
- Or log into the CSA and click the users tab in the left column.
Root access should be granted.
