Error: Installing Office 365 components for Workspaces

    ISSUE:

    While installing or upgrading Ivanti EndPoint Manager you receive a red X on Installing Office 365 components for Workspaces

     

    Symptoms:

    The SAM Data service will be disabled, able to start but the issue will remain when trying again.

    ITAM.Data.log will show that the services is stopped for an error.

     

    Look closely at ITAM.Data.log as it may give you other clues. For Example:

     

    "The SAM.O365PS_Routines.exe application is missing the Azure Active Directroy Module for Windows PowerShell"

     

    AND / OR

     

    "The SAM.O365PS_Routines.exe application is missing the Microsoft Online Services Sign-In Assistant for IT Professionals RTW"

     

    Cause:

    Azure Active Directroy Module for Windows PowerShell AND / OR  Microsoft Online Services Sign-In Assistant for IT Professionals RTW are not installed.

     

    Resolution:

    Ensure that Azure Active Directroy Module for Windows PowerShell AND Microsoft Online Services Sign-In Assistant for IT Professionals RTW are installed. Then, Set your SAM Data service to automatic, start the service and then click try again on the install.
