End-of-Life-Notice: Security Configuration Management and Power Management Reporting (PM Reporting) Modules of HEAT E.M.S.S.

Version 1

    End-of-Life-Notice
Security Configuration Management (SCM) and Power Management Reporting (PM Reporting) Modules of HEAT E.M.S.S.

Dear valued HEAT Endpoint Management and Security Suite (HEAT E.M.S.S.) customer,

Please note that we are announcing the end-of-life of the following modules within your HEAT E.M.S.S. solution:

    • Security Configuration Management (SCM)
    • Power Management Reporting (PM Reporting)

While the decision was not an easy one, we feel strongly that it is in the best interest of our customers. Our emphasis has always been to deliver best-in-class solutions and premier services around the core solution set our customers rely on.  If you are using either SCM or PM Reporting on HEAT E.M.S.S. v8.3 or earlier, you don’t need to do anything further at this point. Both modules will continue to be supported until the retirement date of August 31st, 2017.

Note, however, that if you upgrade the E.M.S.S. server to v8.4 (or later), you will no longer be able to use these modules.  SCM will automatically be removed.  As Power Management Reporting has an endpoint component, it will remain but the module will be disabled for all endpoints. You can then remove the Power Management module in a controlled manner from your endpoints.  Alternatively, we would recommend that you remove Power Management from endpoints prior to upgrading them to 8.4.
