    Issue

     

    Running any scans from the console result in The request failed with HTTP status 404: Not Found.

     

    IIS logs shows a response of 404 2

     

    Cause

    ISAPI and CGI Restrictions are improperly configured.

     

    Resolution

     

    1. Open IIS Manager
    2. Click on the server level
    3. Double-click on ISAP and CGI Restrictions
    4. Make sure all restrictions are set to allowed.
    5. From an administrator command prompt, run IISreset
    6. Try again
