How to fix logging when logs are no longer being written

    This article is a quick fix to getting logs to write again. Periodically logs may fail to write if IPCM fails to contact the database for an extended period of time (database maintenance). This article is relevant for systems that have not had any database changes, or changes to the database connection string.


    Resolution

     

    1. On the IPCM Server go to Start -> Run -> Services.msc
    2. Navigate to the IPCM Log Writer Service
    3. Restart the IPCM Log Writer Service and verify logs are being written.
