    An error message occurs when installing or upgrading GoldMine  
     "Another GoldMine installation is running - after an interrupted or failed install of GoldMine"



    Resolution

     

    1. Close the error message.

    2a. In a 32 bit environment 
    Select the Windows Start button > Run > enter regedit > expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE folder > expand SOFTWARE folder > expand FrontRange Solutions folder > delete GMInProgress folder.

    2b. In a 64 bit environment
    Select the Windows Start button > Run > enter regedit > expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE folder > expand SOFTWARE folder > expand Wow6432Node > expand FrontRange Solutions folder > delete GMInProgress folder.

    3. Close the registry editor.

    4. Restart gmsetup.exe to install GoldMine.
