For example for excluding those folders from a real-time scan of the anti-virus application.

    Resolution

All information is given assuming a default installation was made:

    On the Application Server

    - On Windows 2003 R2 Server (as this was still supported system environment for GMPE 2013.1 and lower)
    C:\Program Files\GoldMine and all sub-directories
For the application (exe, dll, ocx etc files) plus also for the GoldMine program data files like LicenseGM.bin, GM.INI, Username ini file etc.

    - On Windows 2008 Server or higher
    C:\Program Files\GoldMine (32-bit) or C:\Program Files (x86)\GoldMine (64-bit) and all sub-directories
For the application (exe, dll, ocx etc files)

    C:\ProgramData\GoldMine
For the GoldMine configuration and data files like LicenseGM.bin, GM.INI, Username ini files etc.

    On Networked Clients

    - On Windows XP Pro and also Windows 2003 Server if only a networked client installation was performed, for example as a GoldSync Server or iGoldMine Server (these are still supported system environment for GMPE 2013.1 and lower)
    C:\Program Files\GoldMine and all sub-directories
For the application (exe, dll, ocx etc files)
A local installation on a networked client does not contain GoldMine configuration and data files like LicenseGM.bin, GM.INI, Username ini files as they are loaded via the network from the server share.

    - On Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8 and also Windows 2008 (R2) Server, Windows 2012 (R2) Server if only a networked client installation was performed, for example as a GoldSync Server, GoldMine Connect Web Server or iGoldMine Server.
    C:\Program Files\GoldMine (32-bit) or C:\Program Files (x86)\GoldMine (64-bit) and all sub-directories
For the application (exe, dll, ocx etc files)
A local installation on a networked client does not contain GoldMine configuration and data files like LicenseGM.bin, GM.INI, Username ini files as they are loaded via the network from the server share.

Additional locations which might be of interest as the above information applies only to the default installation but there might be additional features which are installed and used:

    a. Microsoft Office integrations:
    - The related dll files for GoldMine Plus for Office Products (Outlook integration, Excel and Word Integration) are also in the GoldMine application folder under the GoldMine Plus
    sub folder.

    - As GoldMine Plus Integrations are Windows User Profile specific  the configuration files are stored in
C:\Documents and Settings\Windows user name\Application Data\GMOutlook(*) on Windows 2003/Windows XP or C:\Users\ Windows user name\AppData\Roaming\GMOutlook(*) on newer Windows Systems like Windows 7 and Windows 2008 Server
(*) for GoldMine Premium Edition 9.0.0.x this folder is called GISMO instead

    Also under
C:\Documents and Settings\Windows user name\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft_Corporation  on Windows 2003/Windows XP or C:\Users\Windows user name\AppData\Local\Microsoft_Corporation on newer Windows Systems like Windows 7 and Windows 2008 Server.

    b. For many actions within GoldMine - For Example: when downloading Emails or when performing mail merges (letters) many times the Windows User profiles Temp folder is used but there are no default files installed but usually generated for the specific action and then removed again.
